While working for The Edinburgh Evening News and Scotland on Sunday Jon has covered many different editorial stories and each one has been uniquely different. Doing a feature piece for a newspaper allows you to have more time photographing the subject, which in turn allows you to use your creative skills to the best of your ability. As an editorial photographer you need to be able to establish what the story is going to be and then work out what will be the best way to illustrate this through photography.
